from Burgas

Darinela Vangelova is a Bulgarian soprano based in Vienna. Born in Burgas in 2003, she began her formal training at the National School of Music and Performing Arts "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov," where she studied piano with Zlatina Panteleeva and opera singing with Bilyana Danailova. She is now completing the final semester of her Bachelor's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) in the singing class of Prof. Laura Aikin.

Her artistic development has been shaped by masterclasses with Krassimira Stoyanova, Raina Kabaivanska, Stefka Evstatieva, Valentin Peychinov, and other distinguished teachers. In September 2025 Darinela was awarded a scholarship from the Raina Kabaivanska Fund for studies at the Vecchi-Tonelli Institute for the 2025/26 academic year. Alongside her studies, she performs as a soloist with Yehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now in Vienna, bringing hour-long recitals to care homes, hospitals, and audiences who rarely have the chance to hear live music.
